H. Arman Design is the work of Hamza Arman, a Palestinian American multimedia artist born in Palestine and based in Atlanta, Georgia.

About Hamza, the artist

Hi, I’m Hamza Arman, a Palestinian American artist. I was born in Ein Yabrud, a small town in the occupied West Bank, and grew up between Palestine, Chicago, and Atlanta.

Making things runs in my family. My grandfather built chairs out of scrap wood and rope, my father is a jeweler, and my mother is an amazing baker. The first thing I ever built was a table for a coffee shop. Now I hand-carve maps of Palestine from natural and reclaimed wood in my studio in Duluth, Georgia, along with bolder pieces that say what I feel about my homeland. I also share my photographs of Palestine and the people I love there.

You can find me at Arab festivals and art markets around the country, or order online and I’ll ship to you anywhere in the United States.

Woodworking

The first piece I ever made was a table for a coffee shop, and it set me on a path I never expected.

Today I hand-carve maps of Palestine so the cities and villages of home can live on your wall, and I create bold, provocative designs that carry a message and aren’t afraid to start a conversation.

Every piece is made by my hand in my workshop. You can find me at festivals around the country or order online and have it shipped to your door.

Photography

I grew up in occupied Palestine, and most of my photographs come from there.

When I look through my lens, I’m seeing the streets I walked as a kid, the land my family has loved for generations, and the people who still make it home. These images are my way of sharing the Palestine I know, beyond the headlines, so you can bring a piece of it into your own space.

Prints are available at my festival booth or online, shipped anywhere in the country.
